This website is
dedicated to Hawaii-philes, hula enthusiasts, and those very
special people who dare to play Ukulele.
I fell in love with Hawai`i, its culture, language,
music, and people on my first visit in 1957.
I have been dancing hula since 1964 and teaching
others to dance since 1967. Hula is a positive expression of
body, mind, and spirit and it nourishes my soul. It is a lifelong
learning and enriching experience and I invite you to try it. Any
"body" can hula.
I have been playing ukulele since 1979 and teaching
recreational ukulele since the early 1980's. My current goal is to
teach the world to play ukulele and to send out a joyful noise into the
universe.
All of these experiences have enriched my life, and
I treasure the people I have met though my involvement with hula and
ukulele over the years.
