Halau Ku`i is a combine school of hula and ukulele playing. We learn and play songs in English and mele in Hawaiian. Although we learn some chants and Kahiko Hula , our focus is on learning and dancing Hapa-haole and Hawaiian Auana hula. Singers and dancers learn to sing the songs in both languages. The musicans are called Kani Oli translated as Joyful Noise, and the dancers are called Pua Mana Dancer, which is translated as Flower Power. E komo mai, e himeni mai, e hula mai, e kani mai - Come, sing, dance, play.
